anyone try flashing the Samsung Galaxy S LWPs?
OMG i want to smash this thing LOL.. i have SU on my phone and working.. everytime i run this effing program it hangs somewhere else...
Yes I am. Works really well. I got my download from the link above. My directions changed a little bit though. Follow these here.
1. Download the unrevolved.zip file from the XDA forums.
2.Rename unrevolved.zip to update.zip (this isn't absolutely necessary but makes it easier)
3. Place the new file in the root folder of your sd card on the phone
4. Reboot the phone into HBOOTby holding Vol- and Power
5. Scroll down to "RECOVERY" and press the power button.
6. When the ClockworkMod Recover appears scroll to and select "wipe data/factory reset" (note: this will wipe all your user data) (Note: when you're in clockworkmod you can use the optical trackpad and MUST use it's button to select items. Hitting the Power button goes back)
7. Once that's complete, scroll to and select "wipe cache partition"
8. Once complete, scroll to and select "apply sdcard:update.zip" (only if you renamed it to update.zip, otherwise scroll to and select "install zip from sdcard" and scroll to/select unrevolved.zip
9. Once that applies select "reboot system now"
10. Let the phone start up completely and add this file to the sdcard:
11. Reboot into the ClockworkMod Recovery with instructions 4 & 5.
12. Scroll to "install zip from sdcard" and scroll to app.zip to install the google apps.
13. Reboot device. This will prompt the google startup where it asks for account information.
I have to credit Larsrya8 over at the XDA forums for posting some information. I take no credit for any of these steps. This is what worked for me after reading the forum over there.
Edit: removed the links, they can be found on another forum.
it's not the program. it's user error if it's not working. go to xda if your having troubles and look at the posts over there. unrEVOked has their own thread for this there. you can prob get trouble shooting tips ( atleast more then here ) over there to help you along.

I followed these steps and after it installed, I rebooted and it just stays at the white htc incredible welcome screen. What can I do to get back to normal? Why didn't this work for me? Unfortunately, I didn't do a backup in nandroid before installing. I used the updated unrevolved file. I was rooted and ran the reflash before doing this. Any suggestions?
THIS SHOULD TEACH YOU ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING!!!!!!!! Stock 2.1 Rooted | incredible stuff?
Yeah, I guess I should have put that as step 1. I just never do anything without making a backup though..
Did you use the nandroid backup I linked for you? Let me know how it worked out for you
