Hi from an Apple switcher...

Hello everyone,
I've been an iPhone user for around 4 years (3gS and then 4S), but today I am sat at home waiting for the delivery of a Sony Xperia Z1.
Fancied a change and a bigger screen.
Never used Android so I could be asking some dumb questions in the near future...

Welcome to the forums and Android!
There is no such thing as a dumb question, aside from the one not asked.
The only thing I can suggest right away is take your time learning the OS. There is going to be a learning curve, and with Android, when doing something, there are different and multiple ways of doing something.
But when you get the device, ask away.

Xperia, good brand and mine still running fine from 3 - 4 years ago. Except for no official updates on the OS. I hope key lime pie will support older hardware as rumored.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the switch.

Now that it's been a few days, how are you liking it so far?

Well the hardware is fantastic and I'm getting used to Android now.
Simple things like being able to 'drag and drop' files and the external memory card are great, after coming from an iPhone.
Despite playing with one in the shop for quite a while, the sheer size of the thing is taking more getting used to....
