Hello everyone, I want to buy a TF today! But I just thought of something, can TF connect to networks with hidden SSID [broadcast name]? I had a lot of issues with my android cell phone. :S

Hows the performance out-of-box compared to a TF with many installed applications? Once again, I had tons of issues with my android phone and installing applications causing the OS to become laggy, or even broken.

Is it possible to find 32 gig TF in stores? I keep reading about 16 gig availability.

Thanks in advance!

As far as connecting to a hidden ssid, you should be fine. My Evo as well as my Transformer had issues with connecting to it but after a few tries, it worked. What I eventually did was make the device aware of the network name and password and then hid the ssid. Of course at that point it lost the connection. I then told it to forget the connection and set it up by keeping the network ID hidden and put in the name and password again and it took the info and could then see the network even while the Ssid was hidden.

I'm sure others who are more tech savvy than I am can cut that down by a few steps though.

I didn't have to do anynf that just manually add it from netwrok settings - worked like a charm.

I haven't noticed a slowdown yet

I'm thinking about getting a TF, but I'm worried that I won't be able to connect to my work network. I can't connect with my phone. I've tried with both Froyo and Gingerbread. I think the problem is that the network uses a hidden SSID, WPA and AES encryption. I'd hate to have to get an iPad instead; I know that there are other people on the network who use iPads.

Does anyone know for sure whether or not Honeycomb can connect to hidden wi-fi networks that use AES encryption?
