That's download mode. It's how many times I've flashed in Odin. It's how many times I've rooted my phone or flashed a tar file.

My count for how many times flashing in recovery would be 100 times that. Lol

Yes it is. Very easy. There is an app called triangle away. Makes it pretty much fool proof.

There are a few official tar files pre-rooted that will not add counts if you're worried.

Sorry, but don't know if a way to root without a computer. Mobile Odin will flash tars from your phone but you need to be rooted to use it. It's just s vicious circle.

thanks mate. i remember my old carrier branded Zte Blade (Orange Sanfrancisco, ?100)
could be unlocked from orange free, rooted and flashed and overclocked to perform like a mid-range phone out the box in 10mins lol. i had a few of them, those were the days
i basicly just wana root to back up app data etc and factory reset to get rid of any cobwebs lol
