Honeycomb 3.2

The 3.1 update has been on the ASUS website for some time. If you haven't received notification to update, just go to the website, download, and manually update...

I hope they fix the lag with the keyboard. I found myself about four words ahead on a forum today. This is ridiculous.

Opera and firefox both run very well with the dock and on screen. Great solutions for the lag until they fix it and honestly with what opera can do I think ill be sticking with it for good as it does things the stock browser cannot.

I also am in the camp with no OTA 3.1 . I wish asus would just let the update happen on demand, this waiting for the update to eventually come my way thing is getting old.

That's weird. I swapped mine at ToysRUs on Saturday, and when I powered up the new one it wanted to update to 3.1. I picked one up at BestBuy on Friday (with plans to get a refund for the ToyRUs unit I bought) and it came with 3.1 out of the box.

There's two versions of Opera - mobile and mini. which do you recommend?

Well people like getting updates and it's calm the people down for a while :P

I live in the uk and thought it was funny that the transformer update went out world wide at the same time, but the UK Xooms didn't get the 3.1 update for a weeks after my transformer. I think it was a good choice!

Yeah I knew Asus wouldn't let us down. Before the transformer I wasn’t an asus fan but now Im starting to think differently.

okay... Firefox I can reply, but when typing and I hit backspace it DOUBLE backspaces with the dock.

But no lag. I guess I will have to deal with it. :(

Hmm thats weird. Im replying to you right now in opera mobile. Sometimes there are issues with text boxes with opera where youll enter text and exit the box and the information typed dissapears. I dont know whats going on but I type a single letter exit and go back and everything is fine. Its random for me, but for good measure I do that procedure as I dont want to type a long post and have it dissapear.

Other then that its the best browser I have used thus far. But still hoping they fix the lag (and hopefully beef up the browser).

Yeah the double backspace was why I dropped firefox. I made a post a while ago about it and nobody seemed to have the same issue.

sad we have to use third party browsers isnt it? And they suck as well. I miss my ipad for this reason. But I dont miss it because of Flash. If Ipad ever played nice with Adobe then I would pack my bags in about 2 seconds and go ipad2. Asus/Google needs to get their sh!t together. Keyboard lag in this day and age should NOT be an issue. SHEESH. If Apple played nice with google premier apps and Adobe,..Asus, Samsung, etc. would be in a world of hurt.

Umm, OK.
But for me, Apple would need to address a LOT more things than just their Adobe and Google playground squabbles.

To name just a few shortcomings that soured me on the iPad: iTunes (ugh), lack of widgets, crippled file management, no Swype (or any 3rd party keyboards), lame "grid of icons" home screen, tethering issues, no SD card/HDMI, 4:3 format display, etc.

Not to mention the generally insufferable, pretentious attitude that seems to come with the territory

Just sayin'

Its not an asus deal I can tell you that. The stock browser is a google thing and since google locked alot of Honeycomb down its probably causing developers alot of porblems. I cant say for sure since I dont develope for android, but my brother in law does and he says its not good with semi open source.

As for flash Apple and Adobe will be working together soon and flash will be coming to the ipad. If the grass is that much greener well it was nice knowing you. I personally have no issues with my transformer. The only thing is random text box issues in opera, but with my quick remedy all is fine.

Agreed. The ipad is OK, but lacks alot of things like flash for now, decent resolution, keyboard dock, expandable storage, and much much more.

The transformer is the best tablet on the market for me for too many reasons to even look elsewhere. Granted the thinkpad tablet might be just as good if it ever comes out, but I already made my purchase as I couldnt wait around anymore for lenovo and their dragging feet. Will I go to the thinkpad? Only if its the same or better and someone drops $600 in my lap to spend (thats a no BTW).
