Yes, for now.So glad you are enjoying your Pixel 2! Did you keep your S6 Edge as a backup?

Yes, for now.
I looked seriously at the S8 but the size and fingerprint sensor were two things that pushed me away. Then the Google experience and software updates were the two final things that really did it. The S8 looks nicer but, at the end of the day, looks only go so far.Awesome! That's a good idea, especially if something happens and you need to send for a replacement for your current device. It's good to have a backup! My mom has the S6 Edge and I'm trying to convince her to get a Pixel 2, as well! But I think she has her eye on the S8.

I'm using the 2. My 2XL is in a family members hands.. I might grab another one down the line. Are you still rocking the 2 or back to the 2 XL?

FaceTime, iMessage dependence is what Apple wants. Google handles it being cross-platform capable. The App store purchases are a problem no matter which platform you are on.I'm still in the honeymoon but am starting to think the cost of divorce from my iPhone is too high (loss of iMessaging, loss of Facetime, having to repurchase a number of apps).

That's what I get for not being content. Lol Sold the iPhone X on Swappa and bought a Note 8 from Best buy (open box). Was playing around and found that the selfie camera didn't work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but it's going back tomorrow. Lol
I've got both right now and my 2 XL is probably going back. I feel the screen is slightly better on the 2 but will miss the screen size on the XL. I will probably end up with a 3 next year so figure I might as well save the cash and my wife will prefer the 2 which I will pass on to her.
Voicemail is a pain in the *** to set up, especially with att. That's my biggest issue. I don't even have it solved yet after going to the att store the other day. I know how to reset the password(dialing 611), but after I do put in the verification code, it asks for my mail box number, and I don't know what the **** that is, and I haven't gotten back to the store.
Download and install the HulloMail app. It is visual voicemail for Android. Easy to set up and compatible with AT&T. Voicemails go to your mailbox at HulloMail and you get an alert, a visual list of messages and each message is emailed to you as an attachment. Perfect!

Google Voice works well for this too.
already have google voice as well. Don't really understand how it could leave me voicemail with my current number.. Only through google voice's assigned number I can understand.. But from what I can see, I'd have to give everyone my google voice number which would direct to my current number and not the other away around.
