I think you got me a bit wrong, I was having a dig at Samsung and not people who complaining maybe we could development team, I'm asking because I never needed to get in touch with anyone before and was thinking that someone maybe knew.

Haha.... gotcha. I'm just irritated today... Besides spending all morning shoveling snow on day 2 of Spring... so much for global warming... My update just happened last night and I'm just discovering all this new issues and changes this morning.
Updates should be optional with a list of changes to preview.

On Oreo Beta ok Google worked right from AOD without going to lock screen in my S8. That would be a shame if they took that away in the official release. Since I now use an unlocked S8 Plus that isn't on Oreo beta, , still waiting for official release.

Yeah that does indeed defeat the purpose of unlock from AOD. :-(

Wow. I just rebooted for the first time since I got 8.0 and now the ok google function works on the AOD screen lol very odd but I'll take it.

1st time opened assistant
2nd time just got heptic sort of feedback on phone
3rd time nothing

For those of you guys who are on Verizon you can utilize the Verizon text messaging app which will allow you to customize the tones per contact

So in other words, defaults reset and everyone complaining didn't realise they were using Verizon's message app. -_-

Just updated my S8+ on AT&T. It definitely feels more responsive and snappier. Battery life I am not sure yet. Otherwise, everything else is still the same.

I'm on ATT... Text tone used to be able to be assigned in the contacts app and work with the stock messenger. That's gone now and that sucks. Can't even assign in stock messenger let alone contacts.
So now I have to get a third party app and assign them all over again. I really rely on that feature to let me know if I want to stop what I'm doing to look at my phone.

I'm upset they took assigning contacts message tones, I depended on that alot, as I'm a driver. Damn it sucks. I hope it's a quick fix real soon

For some reason I have both the android pay and google pay apps after updating to Oreo on my AT&T S8.


Update: Oops nvm, once I opened google pay the android pay app disappeared.

So since Oreo... I have a notification on my lock screen from Firefox about this thread. There is a pause symbol and a speaker on it... That don't do anything when pressed. Never seen these before Oreo... Any idea what it is?

So far I'm loving how much snappier my phone is and how they have a second way you can switch between your edge panels. That's all I've really found at this point.lol
