Android Central Question

my tablet automatically switches to "always on" setting, even if i switch to "off" because always on drains battery. I need an app to block ability to stay in the off position

And are you powering down the tablet every night, or just leaving it on (but with the screen asleep)?

Most of the time i go to powersaver and disable all networks before sleep. And sometimes ill just turn it off. Or...ill go to airplane mode. Depends on my mood at that given time

I'm still scratching my head about this. It sounds like the Keep Wi-fi On During Sleep option keeps turning on, right? But if you turn on Airplane Mode (or turn off the wi-fi switch alone), do you see actual evidence of wi-fi turning back on (like the wi-fi icon in the status bar appearing)?

It switches back to always on after device reboots itself. Because device is outdated both auto reboot and always on wifi are the 2 outstanding issues. But moreso the wifi issue. Already denied many apps to modify system settings. Still seeing wifi issue. If there is an app to address this problem would be great

Are you saying that you can't turn off the auto-reboot option either? There's no reason to automatically reboot a phone on a scheduled basis unless there are any obvious performance issues.

At this point, if it bothers you enough, it would probably be a good idea to just factory reset it. Being it's such an old device it might clean up other cobwebs as well that have gathered over the years. As far as I know there is no app to enforce system settings unless maybe if it has root access. Honestly just sounds like a kink in the system somewhere.
