How can I remove Finder Search from my Favorites Tray?

[Android Central Question]

Somehow a Finder Search icon ended up in my Favorites Tray, Samsung S8, Android 10
It's a gray icon with a grid of white dots. Clicking on it brings up the usual search that I usually get to by swiping up on my home screen.
Tapping and holding does NOT do anything, unlike other apps in the tray where I have to the option to uninstall, remove from home screen etc.
I have 5 apps there, and I'd like to be able to get rid of that one and have room for another.

It sounds like you're talking about access to the app drawer. The setting to change that is in your home screen settings.

You da man! That did the trick. Question is, how did that get changed? I never, at least knowingly, changed that setting.

BTW-- I find it hilariously apt that someone named Hallux answered my question, since I'm a retired podiatrist!

And you're the only one here that's known the meaning of the word. I'm not in the medical field, I just heard the word one time (and what it referred to) and decided to use it as my online name.
