How do I add new notification sounds to my Galaxy S6?

Easy fix was to go to ringtone and sounds. Change the default setting to "chirps", since Twitter only use the default setting. Then I change the sounds for my other apps that uses the default setting to another notification sound.

Just install Megasound and can choose any audio wanted.

Sorry guys, but I followed the advice and the custom sound still doesn't show in the notification sounds list.
I rebooted the device, tried mp3, ogg, m4a file format... But nothing.
If someone has an idea please let me know.
Thank you.
Edit: of course I tried with several files wich are working fine on another phone.

i had this problem, and none of these things worked for me.
put your mp3 in the device storage->android->media->com.google.android.talk-> notification and it will work. HOWEVER the name of the mp3 will be whatever the title of the file is, not the file's name!

I used an app called ZEDGE. It's got bunches of Ringtones, wallpapers, and notification sounds.

I got this figured out.

Assuming you have the file saved on your device as a mp3:
Go into "My files" and find the file you saved.
Press and hold then select "more" up in the corner.
Select "Copy":
Select device storage>media>Audio>Notifications

That should move the file to the list of sounds for notifications. At least it worked on mine.
