How do I get an icon on home screen?

I don't recognize that screen -- @mustang7757 or @Laura Knotek, does that seem familiar on a Samsung phone?

I was running Nova but switched back to OneUI and don't see anything like that.

I do have one other suggestion to @towngirl. Try changing Home Screen Layout to "Home and Apps Screen" and see if you're able to then long press an icon and drag and drop it to your home screen.

I also do not have option to remove ico from home screen (and not remove app)

I have looked at that guy on this vid before and he seems to have out dated info., at this point

In you screenshot you have home screen only , change to home screen and apps

I tried...which I know I don't like that setting.

It rearrange my entire phone. Every folder.. took all icon out. ect. And I found the icon I was looking for but if I take it out ... and switch back ... I lose it. Tried again... and but it into a folder. It still didn't stay. SO ............. weird lol

You swiped through all your home pages , in that mode just home screen it doesn't put apps in alphabetical order or all on same pages

Also turn home and app drawer on then move the app to main home page then turn off home screen see if its there

I agree it should not happen. I've switched between stock Messages, Telegram and Google Messages and never lost anything.

Thankfully, it came back when I set default

BTW, it's "icon", not "ico."

So, I used to make ico .. and on PC, used to call them that. I guess I am old lol ... but I will try to remember to call them icons .. it's same thing
