How do I get my IMEI changed or repaired? I bought a phone online for my kid so we'd have contact with him in College. It worked for about 3 weeks and it stopped working. I had it unlocked but I also factory reset it while trying a suggestion from a friend to try and repair the IMEI. It didn't work and I'm wondering if I UNDID the Unlock. Please help, I can't afford to buy another phone for him right now. He's using mine in the meantime. Thanks for your help.

Maybe you misunderstood what you needed to do? The primary purpose of the IMEI is to register your phone with the wireless company. If it no longer works, it means that the wireless company might have blacklisted it. Your best option is to talk to your wireless company to understand why it has been blacklisted and how to get it in deblacklisted.
