How do I get the Forgot Pattern option in MotoG3 Android6.0?

I have been locked out, changed my pattern and cannot remember it now, no matter how many times I try I don't see the forgot pattern option which should eventually lead to entering the gmail password. Is there a solution without resetting the device?

Try using Android device manager to re lock the phone with your google password
