i need my contacts to get imported to my device (android) from gmail......how can i do that??

go to settings and accounts somewhere in there and enter that account in there and sync the contacts to the phone

Here is how to import contatcs from Gmail to Android:
Open your “Contacts” app.
Click the menu button and go into “Settings.”
Select “Import/Export.”
Select where you want your contact files stored.
Follow instructions.
