Im calling from one marshmallow to another both are galaxy s7 and using the default dialer before making a call shows the option for video calls but when the call is answered it shuts off. I made sure both phones were on LTE not wifi. Is it possible it wont work if one phone is GSM and the other is CDMA? The regular HD voice works just fine though.

yea. it has to be the same carrier which makes this option almost useless. I would get either viper or tango apps and that way you can use most phones and network carriers dont matter.

Hangouts is a decent option for video calls, but that requires a data connection (mobile or wi-fi).

You must be connected to high speed Internet. The video call button will be green. Once you place the call, it will begin over the LTE Network but transfer to wifi immediately after connecting.
