How do I set downloaded notifications

I tried setting my downloaded notifications for my email and sms but can't do it. Am I missing something? Usually on my fascinate when i download a sound i can go to settings in sms and change the sounds, my downloaded sound would be there. Well with the X there is no such thing. Any suggestions??

Try app SMS Popup. It allows you to customize the notification sound and the LED. Will put a text message over your lock screen with options to close, reply or delete (or other options you can choose.) Very good app. Been using it for a long time.

Create a folder hierarchy for your sounds on your SD card like this:

• media
  • audio
    • notifications
    • ringtones
    • alarms

Then just move your downloaded sounds into the appropriate folder (notifications, ringtones, or alarms).

They should then show up when you go to assign a sound to whatever type of notification.
