Re: How can I fix the "com.android.systemui has stopped" error?

I found out what caused it. Earlier today google pushed an update for their google quick search app ( https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...e.android.googlequicksearchbox&token=FwSa0Zw- ), this update broke my home button.

So uninstall the app and you should be fine for now.

Have the same problem about getting unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui when holding home button to open task manager, Grateful for seeing this solution from you. hope other users can get this answer soon :)

Man, i solved mom's probelm and now i am superman, thanks for your help

1- open settings
2- *i don't know what is different in s3 neo* but you should look for "application manager"
3- search through the list of apps for "google"
4- uninstall recent update
if you have any problems feel free to reply

Thank you so much for your advice.
Indeed, The allocation "Google"was the problem.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note2 with Android 4.4.2 (Touch Wizz).
I'be followed your advice:uninstalled the Google app and everything is as usual. .
It seems that's Google doesn't support any more our Android 4.4.2. :( Maybe anot update will fix it.

Re: How can I fix the "com.android.systemui has stopped" error?

Thank you. Fix worked. You can not uninstall the Google App on a Samsung Note 2 - But by uninstalling updates on that app worked to remove the com.android.systemui error so it had to be a botched update on that one app that did it. Thanks for the advice:)

Re: How can I fix the "com.android.systemui has stopped" error?

Look below at the message showing it was a Google update error. If you click on the link it will take you to the Google app showing "installed". Click that then"uninstall" and everything goes back to normal without losing anything. Thanks so much for posting the fix. I had tried everything before finding this solution for my Samsung Galaxy 4.

Thanks it worked! Hopefully Google fixes the bad update soon.

For those asking for an explicit step-by-step guide on uninstalling updates. Here is the easy method through the Google Play Store.
Go to your Google Play Store app > Click on the 3 gray bars in the top left corner

Click on "My apps & games" > Find the Google app and Click on it

Choose the button on the left for "Uninstall" and click okay through the rest of the prompts
