How do we claim the free headphones

So for people who did not preorder we get nothing?

Depends who you bought from. If you buy from Samsung direct, they offered a free duo charger with Note 9 purchase. I think Best Buy is offering a $150 gift card + single wireless charger.

Currently on the Samsung website if you purchase a Note9 you get the duo wireless charger and a case for free. I am not sure if this is just a samsung.com offer or if you can get that promo by purchasing somewhere else.

That's ridiculous it really is. Just because I bought mine a week after launch. Man I got something the previous 2 years.
There are some people who will pay full price for the phone by itself, and Samsung naturally wants to cash in on those customers. So Samsung makes sure the default way to purchase does not give you the best deal. But they also make it easy, with just a little research, for customers who insist on a better deal to get one.

same situation here. Was shocked when i got denied. First trial was submitted a packing slip from B&H got denied and then submitted a second image of email order confirmation that shows 8/18. still denied and cannot submit anymore. Call customer service and they said they will get back to me within 72 hours. so, nothing can do just wait.

same here, I purchased from costco and I submitted pre-order e-mail and pre-order signed paper but they only saw date on receipt which of course was pick up date and denied it twice. They said the same about the 72 hours but I am skeptical

I sent mine with a picture of my receipt that I purchased from best buy on 9/2 after I canceled my pre order from Samsung. They rejected it so i called and they told me to take a screen shot of my email from Samsung, so I did. They approved it today

What is the basic information do we need to send in? I have the EIP agreement that I have from T-Mobile that shows what I paid. What else do I need?

If you're using the shop Samsung app you'll only need to upload a screen shot of the pre order email

You need documentation of both the date you pre-ordered, and the date you made the actual purchase.

As did I. Was concerned that launch date receipt only showed Aug 24th so... I did a screenshot of my pre-order email from Costco which contained the pre-order number, store number, date of order (Aug 20th), etc.

I received my headphones today as well as the 15k V bucks for Fortnite. Kudos to Samsung for making this a relatively painless promo.

Got my headphones yesterday, didn't have to provide any proof however. All I did was open the shop Samsung app on the Note 9 and i was pretty much instantly registered and approved. It was the same as last year with the Note 8 and the convertible fast wireless charger I got.

Same here. All I did was just confirm my information such as address, phone number etc and submit. I should be getting mine the first week of October.

Had you ordered your Note9 directly from Samsung? If so, maybe that order (plus requesting the gift via an app on the Note9 itself) already gave them the proof they need. In my case, I had to provide the packing slip, which also noted the (pre-)order date. They immediately approved my submission (and they say shipment is expected in a few weeks).

Nope, pre ordered online with Sprint. Whole experience was smooth and painless. Ordered on the 16th I believe, got the phone a week later and the headphones about 10 days after that.

The speed of the arrival of the headphones was a nice surprise. When I registered the original estimate was something like 4 weeks but they came in about 2, unlike last year with the convertible fast charger that took about 5 weeks.
