How do you put your apps in alphabetical order in Lollipop?

I'm on sprint and confirm the A-Z button is there. The only thing is that any new apps installed do not sort themselves alphabetically. Another thing is that the drawer stops at the last slide when on my S4 it would jump back to the first slide.

I'm in New Zealand on the 2degrees network and there is no "A-Z" alphabetical ordering feature on my S6.. Really frustrating.. How could they be so stupid as to leave that out.

I've got a s6 also I have the same issue the a-z is missing and I don't get the function of the edit any way it does not make sense and I think there should be an update just for this issue,it's amazing that samsung didn't realize the problems. Please fix it.

I have this issue too, on Vodafone UK. Very annoying.

I have installed App Swap, which is good, but I am unable to remove the 'standard' app drawer from the 'dock' and replace with this app. Not good..

I was hoping to not have to go down the new launcher route for a bit but I think I might have to because of this issue.

You can manually rearrange by pressing the app and holding it when in the edit mode. It will take a while but it does it.

Or just use Google Now or Nova Launcher. Not a big fan of TouchWiz. I just recently went to Google Now and is much snappier.

Wow. This is just plain dumb to pull that "feature". Back to Google Now, loved it on my Nexus 5.

Anything interesting with Samsung Touch Wiz that wouldn't be available in Google Nows launcher?

on Android 5.0 go to apps and hit the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner, view as there is where the alphabetical view is hidden

This is the point. On the international version of the S6, there is no menu, no A-Z button.

Personally, I have used Quad Drawer (sorry, i don't have enough posts to include a link) for some time - it has some great features.

Same issue here im on EE uk and have the sim free version s6 and only the edit tab appears on mine :( really annoying issue !!

yes, i had that as well on my vzw s4 and it really worked well for me. i don't know why they got rid of it. i am a text person. not a picture person. I don't have the a to z button. i go to menu on lower left and get to view as. there i can make abc pics or customize.

Yes... apps are alphabetical in the App Drawer. BUT I rarely go there. All of my apps are in folders on my SINGLE home screen... Touchwiz is set to 5X5 Grid so I can have 25 folders to put apps in. I find this much faster than flipping through multiple home screens or multiple pages in the App Drawer.

I'm having this exact same problem on my Galaxy Tab A that I just purchased today. No A-Z, no 3 dots, no menu button anymore. It's driving me crazy, almost plan on returning it!

A-Z button is only visible on 5.1.1 when it was introduced. Did not exist in 5.0.2

On 5.0.2 (cyanogen) Tap and hold down on background. Screen comes up with Wallpapers, Widgets, and Settings at the bottom. There are 3 dots above the Widgets icon (poor design). Tap the three dots and it will take you to drawer settings.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 with Lollipop -- it was an extended warrantee replacement, so it's still new, and I have to find out things I'd forgotten two years ago. But, to get the icons alphabetical, it's home screen/menu key/view as/alphabetical.

On my phone it only shows EDIT - A-Z is missing!

Same here on my GS6 from Rogers running 5.0.2. What a bummer. I just called their tech support and asked about when 5.1.1 would be released and was told that they found some issues during testing and have pulled the update for the time being. Typical lousy Rogers customer service. 5.1.1 has been out long enough for them to have tested and resolved any potential issues by now.
