How does everyone like their Note?

Love it, not really a fan of bixby though and my case is a little flawed so it keeps launching it when I don't want to. Only had to use the fingerprint scanner a couple of times, relying on the iris scanner for almost everything. Loving it.

Edit... I took the case off and it's still launching. Off I go to find a fix for this

Note 8 great for me one BIG thing (to me) it has OK GOOGLE works from locked screen.Never did on the S8.

I’m finding this to be very inconsistent. The phone hears the command (i can tell by the sound of the vibrate) but the phone doesn’t unlock. I will repeat the command, sometimes it unlocks, but mostly it doesn’t.

Then - sometimes when the phone is unlocked.. I’ll say “OK Google” and I get no response at all.

I don't get this when I use Google Assistant but I get it sometimes when I use Bixby.

It sucks. I'm taking it back tomorrow and waiting to order the iPhone x
Good Luck to ya' then Mate! We'll just carry on... totally LOVE mine! Haven't been able to put mine down since I got it - wife wants to kill me (or the Note 8!)

Got mine on Friday morning: I'm head over heels.

It's not perfect: It's a touch heavier than I'd like. Bixby had a few spells of launching itself unsolicited (fixed by turning it off & on again). My auto-brightness jumps to max when it unlocks at night and dims very slowly rather than instantly.

But everything else? Heavenly.

Beautiful to look at and to hold. More features than I can shake a stick at. The s pen more than exceeded my expectations...

If I was any more smitten, I'd have a joaquin phoenix situation from the movie "her"!

Love, love, love it! It's great to be back "home" again. I had a Note 4 Edge, and it was showing its age and I cracked the screen after 2 years. That happened right around the time battery issues showed up with the Note 7, so I got a LG V20 and paid it off when I got my tax return. I've been waiting for this phone for 9 months now! Note 2 was my first in the Note line.

You’re kidding, right?

I'm seriously exchanging the phone. The iris scanner is crap, the face recognition won't work when it's dark and the finger print sensor is hard to use. The phone is super fast and has a great screen, but I think I'll do better with the iPhone X.

I swear I'm not trying to come off as a smartass here but, enjoy whatever you is right for you. Sorry you don't like it but note8 ain't for everybody. Is for me tho😁

Enjoy your iPhone. I know it's for kids and old people and non-tech folks with not much to learn and do. By the way something here for ya.

I've never had a problem with the Iris scanner. It's so fast that 90% of the time it completely bypasses the lock screen.

Haven't tried face recognition, but with fingerprint, pattern, smart Lock, there are a million other ways to unlock your phone. Face recognition is that important to you that you want to ignore all those other ones and use it, when it's dark nonetheless. What do you expect, really?

Zero problems with the fingerprint sensor too. Also super fast. I love that I can use it right from the AOD and go straight to the home screen. I actually find it to be faster than the Iris scanner.

Not sure what else I can add for. I don't care for the fingerprint scanner location very much but it's the only thing I can think of and it's not a big deal to me. With trusted locations and such. I don't have to use it much.

Realistically, I think you'd have to blow the head shot up to full size to try and fool the facial recognition, IF YOU COULD! It's looking for the size it registered, not something an inch and a half tall!

Turn the sensitivity setting down in Bixby settings.

You can get Package Disabler Pro and completely disable bixby. There button will then do nothing when you press it.
