How does the 1TB offer work after expiration?

After the 1TB offer expires, I believe Google says you can still access the files you've uploaded but you won't be able to make modifications to them.

Would it be possible to switch to a 100GB plan after expiration and still have read-only access to most of those documents?

i have a chromebook and was told that when my two years were up i could continue by adding payment. i asked what if i had only used up 20 gigs and they said then downgrade to 25. the files will still be there. the files you add after you accept the goodies is sort of in a sub account of your regular drive account.

Cool thx. I was thinking of getting the Pixel and then using the 1TB as an archive space for my RAW files of the past 10+ years and 22k song music archive. That's easily 700GB already but I'd only need read only access to.

At the same time I don't wanna have to be stuck having to continue at the 1TB level. I'd want to downgrade to 100GB after the offer.

I have a question about the 1TB drivespace.
Became the 1TB drive space instantly "automatically" available when you signed on with your Google Account the first time with the Pixel?
