How in the World do you setup the SDK on a mac?

Hello. I'm on a mac and have not the slightest clue as to setting up the SDK for my Incredible. I'm going to try and root from my mac, but it almost seems easier just to partition my system and slap XP on it (as I have an extra copy laying around). However, putting XP on is my last resort.

Thanks

That's a great question with all these smart people on the fourm, you know half of them gotta be using macs..

If it's anything like Linux, you don't install it. You just run it.

Go to /sdk/tools and run adb... it would look something like this (if I'm right, I could be COMPLETELY off here... :P)

Open terminal...
Code:
cd /path/to/sdk/tools
./adb <command>

If you can get this working, then I can help you from there (maybe. :P)

You won't be able to use this method with a Mac. If you go into the sdk/tools folder, you'll see that the adb file has a .exe. That means it's only usable with a PC. Hopefully someone will come out with an easy way to do it on a Mac soon, or if you can't wait, just use BootCamp and take advantage of both worlds. :D

Ignore this. He's plain wrong. -_-

And yes, run each of my commands. That is how you use adb. Make sure you actually downloaded the Mac version too. http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Code:
cd /path/to/sdk/tools
./adb <command here>

I think there is an issue with having the correct drivers. Booted up the computer in the basement that is a PC and couldn't get into recovery. Must be my SD card. I'm kind of frustrated. This shouldn't be that hard. Off to buy a new one that works with getting in tomorrow. This is unbelievable.
