How long will you keep your N20

I keep reading in this thread that Samsung mentioned there would be 3 updates to the Note phone.....can anyone point me into the direction of where their getting that information? I would like to see what this beautiful Note20 Ultra has in store for the future...and to answer the original thread question, coming from an iPhone to the note line has been a refreshing transition....I am a phone guy so unless something new catches my eye, I will probably keep this note 20 for some time it's a beast!

If Samsung offers a great trade-in deal why wouldn't you upgrade every year? :)

Ahhh...In that sense, nothing that affects me. It's all about the extra functionality and precision with on the go documents that comes with the SPen. And the Bluetooth/remote capabilities are icing on the cake. I actually use that stuff.

For me, specs and aesthetics (respectively) come after that, so as far as that goes, I get your point.

"Just an S Series with a pen" just grates on my nerves so bad. I was lost without it when the N7 fiasco happened; and I use it for much more now than I did then. I could have chucked that S7E in a moat to be eaten by dragons.
Its good that you're closer to using the device to its productivity potential than most but I have a sneaking suspicion that many if not most Note owners don't get our money's worth out of the S pen, and that's unfortunate. Sammy would be foolish (or in Apple-speak 'courageous') to do away with a high-end S-Pen toting device geared towards productivity and power-users.

They could release the Galaxy S Note at the same time as the other S series phones ~MWC and release the Z series devices around the Fall so they have something to unleash in the same time frame as Apple.

💯 agree with you.

Regarding the updates, this forum had it on its main page about a month ago. I may have read it elsewhere but not sure.

Here's the link:

Well, the note 20 has been out now for a month or two. According to android central it's old news. Soon a 125hz screen will be out which will make anyone with the 120hz note ultra be "almost adequate". If you don't upgrade your note 20 in the shortest possible time, no matter if you don't benefit from any new features, then websites like this one (and many) haven't done their job.

I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make but a 60hz difference is hard to notice for some people so I doubt anyone even with a trained eye can see a 5hz difference.

Exactly, in my case I can't see, still, the discernable difference in 120hz refresh so I just stick to 60hz. ...but in the same token, I can't see much difference in QHD vs FHD so I guess my eyes and brain are just getting old. ...but it is saving me that little bit of battery life.

Yeah I don't think the majority of ppl would need or even notice a 5hz bump up. I can definitely tell the difference between 60 &120 but even that isn't night & day!

The higher refresh rate is more noticable for scrolling response.

5hz? I can see it when I switch from 60 to 120 but I can't imagine 5 doing much. Regardless. Judging by the difference between 60 & 120. I think you'd need 10 minimum. And even that's not much.

20 months. I'm doing the samsung financing program from now on since I dont see myself jumping to any other company.

This is the first Android device that I have owned and haven't had any issues. Android has become such a smooth OS I don't see me getting a new device for at least 2 years or more.

Well, I'm still running the Note 3 and a Note 4 on my two other lines. Unless if there's a huge improvement, I'll be rocking the Note 20 Ultra for a few years here.

I'm about to get rid of it. 7 weeks in the charging port does not work. The only option I am being given is to mail it in for repair after ibreakfixit said the phone should be replaced. Very clear that Samsung does not care about customers who buy flagships. Likely moving to Apple where they actually care if you have a problem. Shame on you Samsung
