How many have canceled pre-orders for the Pixel 2 XL?

Have you canceled your Pixel 2 XL pre-order?

Ugh, I just cancelled. I should never read these forums, I swear y'all could make taking care of your sick mother a bad idea lol. My OG pixel works just fine so I will stick with it. I really wish the Note 7 debacle had never happened because I would still be happy with that phone. Maybe if a great deal comes along I will switch.

Lol ikr! I went from excitement to questioning why I even ordered it in the first place. I also had a Note 7 and loved it. My first Note had the best battery life I had ever had. 2nd one was ok and then they just took it away. Oh well, I'll see what phones come out next year or maybe get the 2XL for a deal in the future.

I haven't cancelled mine. 64GB black shipped today. I checked it out in the Verizon store shortly after they put them on display and I didn't see anything in the display that concerned me. I'll try it out for a week or so and decide if I'll keep it after that.

My panda only ships on Nov 22nd so I have some time to see within the next month what Google plans to do about the burn in issue if any. I have a perfect good condition Pixel XL 128GB currently which I'm happy with, but the camera is a big thing for me so I really wanted the new pixel + i love the new look.

Yup I canceled my 128gb Stormtrooper Pixel 2 XL that was suppose to show up after Nov 9th.

Coming from an iPhone 7+, I was excited about this phone because of the camera, I take ton of pictures. But with the blue tint issues and now screen burn issues, I've canceled my order and ordered a 256gb iPhone 8+ and an Apple Watch.

Wish everyone the best with your Pixel phones and hopefully some of you don't have to experience those issues with your Pixels

I would just switch to buying Pixel 2 but it's not available here in Spain. They're only pushing the B&W 2XL here. Sucks! I would have settled for a smaller screen. Oh well...

I canceled mine today as I could not add the insurance. Then I reordered with insurance added. If truly turns into a bad phone then I will get the smaller one or have them send me another one.

Much to do about nothing

I'm still getting the Stormtrooper mid November.

I'll judge my phone on the unit I receive, not any hypothetical BS that people spout as the truth.

Enjoy your haterade.

Didn't cancel mine, using my 2xl right now :-D. I see the blue tint at angles that everyone is having a panic over, but doesn't bother me. I don't try and use my phone looking at it sideways so it's a non issue for me. Hoping the screen burn in isn't a big thing, but if it is, I'll try for a replacement.

Early reviews and negativity had me a little worried, but I wanted to judge the phone for myself, over a few days, not for 10 min at Verizon, is so far it's good!

I actually canceled my 2XL(and free google home mini as well) the other day because I found a better deal price wise on ebay. I don't think I'll be bothered by the blue tint at angles that much. I'm more worried about the screen burnings. And considering I'm buying a verizon version and its from a 3rd party seller, I wonder if I can return it with warranty if I have issues with the screen.

Can't return them ?

If this was regarding my posts about the 2XL cases, I did return the Belroy Leather one from the Google Store but the others were just TPU cases under $8 and my son has a friend (Apple fanboy, as a matter of fact) who bought the Pixel 2XL so I'll pass them onto him.

The blue shift was really not an issue. The supposed grain at 0% brightness is totally not an issue. However, the Burn-in/retention is a massive issue. No screen should see these artifacts at just a few days old.

Had to switch to a regular Pixel 2. Hopefully Google wakes up and fixes their quality issues with the 2XLs. At that point, I'll upgrade if I catch a sale.

I was really enjoying my Pixel XL 2. However, two things happened yesterday that turned me off. First, the swipe gestures I have set up on my phone stopped working consistently. Given the various problems reported with the screen, this was troubling. Then on the way home last night, my bluetooth connection would drop every time I moved the phone. All of these issues taken as a whole just started to give me a very uneasy feeling about build quality. I will be returning it tonight. Luckily I hadn't set back my S7 Edge, so I will take some time deciding what I want next.

My pixel XL 2 only ships on Nov. 20th, this gives me time to see what Google plans to do about the display. if they say they will be replacing everyone's phone with a new one with fixed hardware and that new order will be shipped with an updated version of the display then I won't cancel my order, but if not I'll just keep my original pixel XL and cancel my order. I have about a month to decide and I think by then we will have answers from Google.

I was annoyed at first to why is my phone only shipping at the end of Nov, but now I'm actually glad bc it gives me time to decide if I should cancel it or not based on what Google plans to do about it. I really hope they are replacing the screen with a new fixed version bc I really wanted the Panda version.

... what Google plans to do about the display. if they say they will be replacing everyone's phone with a new one with fixed hardware and that new order will be shipped with an updated version of the display...

I hope they learned from Samsung on the exploding Galaxy battery circus. They have to be open and clear on the problem and the fix. They have to be fast. And they have to absolutely nail it. Unfortunately, I think we'll see more of the same... no answers, no official word, and hoping it gets swept under the rug.

Unfortunately , unless the phone starts hurting someone, the fix will not be as dramatic as the Note.

If it was the 2 XL will cease to exist...I just wish they had gone with Samsung screens like the HTC 2.

I have a end of November ship date for my Panda XL 2...I am actively watching the forums on what Google is doing to address the screen issues. I don't want to cancel...
