Yep, but that's a reflection on you and not on all of them. One of the key indicators here is "I think" and another is "bad screen".
As has been discussed ad nauseum, most of the display "issues" boil down to people that are not down with accurate displays being surprised to see a display where accurate is the default.
My issue, as with many others, has nothing to do with the color. Even those who don't like the "sRGB" expect Google to fix it with a simple update. But things like the graining, color shift, blue tint, etc. can be really awful depending on which unit you look at.
Of the three I've seen, two were laughable. The other could probably be tolerated by many people, although I would never justify it for $850. Given that two out of three I looked at were junk, I canceled my pre-order. Hoping it gets resolved in later batches, although I'm not sure how that would be possible. I would still LOVE to own this thing if they fix it.
I see a lot of comments that the media is blowing this out of proportion. I disagree, but even if I didn't... would you prefer they ignored it? I would rather see it plastered all over the internet so Google gets more pressure to fix it.
Could you even imagine what the news would be like if Apple released a phone with this horrible display? LOL... it would be Armageddon! Yet so many people want to defend Google without understanding that this is a real problem. Maybe it's because their unit is fine. Or maybe they think it's "fake news". Whatever it is, I can't understand people willing to jump to the defense of this monster corporation and throw money at a potentially defective product. But to each their own.
Cheers!
