How Many Of You Use A Screen Protector?

I wouldn't have such expensive devices without a screen protector. I bought my first Zagg HD Invisible-Shield protector for my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition in Dec. Had one put on my new S5 two days ago. I didn't take the plastic that comes on the screen off. I let the guy at BB do it. He said he wishes everyone would do that. Makes his job easier :) IT'S SO WORTH IT to have a place like Best Buy to put it on for you. They'll do it till they get it right and the install is guaranteed for as long as you own the device (so is the product). They charged $7 to install it. It took them two tries, two screen protectors, to get it right on my tablet.

I never used one until my S5. These glass protectors are virtually undetectable. I go to the beach a lot, sand will scratch up a screen pretty easily. Although, the Luvvitt brand I bought cracked by the home button after three days. The glass pro they sell at Verizon seems much better. It's also thinner.

I do. Never had a problem. Will try the glass screen protector soon, and will give you an update on how that goes. :)

Do any of you care if there are dust and bubbles because for the ones here that get them on perfect you must live where there is no dust.

I use a screen protector because my phone goes in my purse and gets knocked around and could be easily scratched.

For you maybe. But for $5, I can buy 3 protectors. I'm kind of a pro at putting them on now, and never get any dust or air bubbles. It's not as hard as some people make it out to be, it's just that a lot of people are uncoordinated, or have no patience. Probably both.

Sure, there's dust where I live. I just prepare the area where I'm going to do it. An open counter top that's wiped thoroughly is a good place.

I haven't had a protector on my phone since my Samsung Galaxy S and now several phones later, I just rely on my TPU case to keep my S5 safe. I try to keep things like keys away from my phone in my purse, but I know without a protector, the risk is there. I would love to know more about the glass protectors. It sounds like they don't bubble? I think phones look horrible with bubbles on the screen.

Bull crap to that because I just put one on. I am clean took a shower beforehand. Did it in the bathroom with the steamy shower even letting it set first yet the first screen protector I had to throw away. Tried it again clean steamy shower let it set put it on better yet there is about 6 peaces of dust underneath it.

I see the dust come on when first application even after wiping the screen so good. It is a lost cause but I leave it on defects and all because of all the people hear scaring me with sand scratching the screen.

Your question yes the glass protectors bubble worse than the film ones but what makes them bad is they only give you one so if/when you screw it up you are done.

^^^ Bull Puckies . Unless you have dust under the glass you won't have bubbles . Or unless the company that's making the glass really sucks , as in not flat .

I picked up and installed a Zagg Glass protector and it couldn't have been easier . And I did it sitting on my couch in the living room no steam lol . Zagg Glass all the way from now on.

I think the glass screen protectors have made things a lot easier. The cut is very precise and it covers the entire screen.

It's the Note 3. Don't hate.

I guess you live where there is no dust. I can actually see the dust falling down.

Yeah I just avoided all of this by keeping the factory screen protector on till the guy at BB put on the Zagg protector <g> BTW, I originally went in for a glass Zagg protector. The Samsung guy said the thing about glass screen protectors is they chip/break. He said he has one and it's chipped in several places. I have no experience with them so I just went with the Zagg Invisible-Shield.

That's the worst screen protector. It has the orange peel effect

Hi Psych Doc, I am careful too. I used to use a screen protector but they became so dirty so fast. I stopped. Never regretted once.
