Question Added MP3 to Notifications Folder on Samsung 23 Ultra, not showing up on selection list

I created an MP3 and got it into my Download folder then moved it to Notifications. When I went into Settings, Sound and Vibrations, Notification Sound, the MP3 was not added to the list of selections. I tried putting it in /Internal storage/Music and it did not appear on the selection of ringtones there either. The file will play correctly when I select it with Samsung Music. What am I doing wrong.
