How to copy the contents of an SD card (including apps) to another SD card?

Hi, I just got a new 8GB SD card to replace the old 2GB one I have in my phone. I want to copy all the contents of the 2GB card to the 8GB card but (unless anything's changed) from past experience copying the entire SD through Windows Explorer either misses out the apps or the phone ignores them (not sure).
Is there a way to copy all the contents of the old card (including apps) to the new one?

Ok, nevermind. After a bit more Googling I found this useful guide here that worked for me.
