How to enable LED light around camera cutout and more!

We've gone pretty far off topic on this. Why is this even a sticky anymore? The app everyone started using at first is a junk app and eats battery. This thread should be un-stickied.

I am hoping that at some point soon Samsung will just enable the feature on its own

If you are talking about Holy light you are wrong or something is messed up on your phone. The app works fine for me and does not eat my battery up. What's junk about it? It does the purpose. What doesn't it do that you want it to do? You want a led light, well that app lets you know you have a notification by a blinking light or have it rotating around the notch. You guys wanted something like that here it is. Man, bunch of complainers.

Download Holy Light it will solve your problem, but you won't because you won't read this because holy light has be mention 1,0000 times but people are too stupid to read.

Well, did you even read my post? I was referring to the app this thread was made about. The first post in this thread has nothing to do with Holy Light. This thread is so convoluted now, no one is going to read through hundreds of posts to hopefully find a different solution. A new sticky should be made about Holy Light. Maybe you should check your complaints at the door.

I have just got my s10 and all set up and read all this about the light which i miss so as of just im trying this ''AODNotify'' App see if it works as it was top on the search.
I always have AOD on so i still see the small icon under the time but the light would be a bonus as coming from a s9.

Has anyone tried this ''AODnotify'' App as i have and it seems a lot better and easier to set up and works great.

Been thinking about trying this app or Holy Light.

On a lark I tried AODnotify (actual name is Notification Light/LED S20, S10 - aodNotify) and I am very impressed. Works great. Nice UX.

I switched from Holey Light, which worked perfectly for me, to AODNotify. I really like the options such as the top line notification.

Is it hard to set up? I may have to download it to try it.
Edit: Just got it but I see I can't do much without purchasing the Pro. Cause I would like a different color light for each app. I will try it for the day and then decide. I'm hoping it doesn't drain battery more but I always have a plug with me or a battery pack. It also says to do certain things you need AOD Manager do I need that? I just clicked on Pro and it said save $2.00 and is only going to cost .99 so I guess I should just buy it. Seems like the last few post everyone likes it the best. And it was cool seeing purple flash around my camera and even around the whole screen. I like it and how you have a choice of camera around the screen the dot in the notifications and the finger print. This is a cool app! Now to watch it work throughout the day. I made colors for a few contacts is that for them specific when they text me cause I also have a color for Textra? Thanks!

AODNotify is working great! Very little battery usage.

I think the UX is straightforward. There are a lot of features/control if you purchase the Pro version - which I did after I determined that this is a well-designed app.

Give the free version a try and report back!

Sorry re-read my above post. I did buy I was editing I guess while you were responding. I bought it and hopefully will like it. And now I see this effects option shimmer and others cool! I think I will have to get my husband to get it also. So should I have it dismiss when I turn om screen or otherwise does it stay lit and for how long? I need to go through the whole app settings later. But so far I love it! I see where it says dismiss when notifications are cleared I guess from the pull down window? Sorry I know too many questions I'll read and figure it out. Thanks Again!

AODNotify just got updated.
It's awesome IMO. I get the visual notifications I want and it uses very little power.

I Love AOD Notify it's my favorite! I am so glad I got it wasn't aware of an update. I bought it though cause it was worth it!

Rose,
Sorry to cross-post, but did you pull the trigger on an S10+ screen protector?

No I never did am still using what came on the phone. Never was sure cause of good and bad reviews. Mine only looks bad when screen is off really. I'll get one eventually since I'm keeping this phone for a while.

AODisplay works for me on my non-Blackberry apps. But the Blackberry ones are not allowing it still. I wish there was a way to have them work with this as well. It works great - wakes up my phone to display the light going around the camera lens and if the screen is already on, it lights around the camera lens as well as the regular Edge Lighting going around.

It appears I have solved my issue with the Blackberry apps. I turned on the "show popup notification" on both of my email accounts, and the blue light appears whenever I get an email in my Inbox app. I would have rather not had the notification of the actual message content pop up, but at least now I see a blue light after I have walked away that tells me I received a text or message that needs attention.
