ok after downloading some other software from LG and telling the computer I was in singapore and spoke english I got the right driver to install and everything seemed to work ok. I had to reflash the phone a few times before it took but I am now up and running in CM7 with the joban kernel unfortuantely its force closing all the time still working on that one.

hey donavan, i was wondering what other software you were referring to that you d/l from lg that allowed you to install the correct drivers. i am stuck at the same point you were cause when i plug into my computer no drivers are installed and it says "there was a problem installing drivers an your hardware may not work properly." i have a couple other issues also but i wanna resolve the driver issue first and see if i can figure out the rest after. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Quick question: should any p500 kdz work for a bricked p506 that was originally on v2.2.1? i keep getting the error message for v10B, v10D, and v10E. If I am correct, none of those were v2.2.1? Thank you in advance.

I followed all these instruction and still get the funky colors. I flashed CWM Optimus One. I have a lg p505. Any tips? I am using the Joban kernel.

ok so no matter wat i cant get that updater to recognize my phone. it say driver successfully installed but when i go to disable it it is showing no driver...not only that but i am so lost now that i dont know wat to do... how can i fix my phone so that i can start this whole process over? im so frustrated that i am about to snap this phone in half all i want is cm7 on my phone i am trying to overclock it so i can run netflix without the video lagging behind the sound by like 5 min plz help before i end up ripping all my hair out and breaking my phone...plzzzz and to anyone that helps here is a nice big thank u up front THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. where can i get usb drivers for my phone?

There is an issue with Joban's How-To. Sometimes the drivers don't install from the phone like they are supposed to (often times). If you use the programs/files that Joban has listed on the first page it will get you really close but wont get you all the way. It will never install the proper USB drivers. So you will need to download the program I have attached (its from LG no worries). Once you get it all unzipped and ready to go you need to lie. At this point you need to convince the program you speak English and you live in Singapore [yes I know just do it]. Click on Options & Help>Country &Language, then select accordingly. Then you will need to click on "Install Driver" At this point it will ask you to select a carrier, select "Quality One" then click LGP509. This is another clone of the Optimus One and the drivers are the same. If all goes well it should install 3-4 files (I can't remember off hand I'm doing this from memory). After you have the drivers installed its just a matter of following the rest of Joban's writeup. If this doesn't work let me know and I will try to recreate the files and just upload the drivers directly.

ok so i wiped my computer and reinstalled windows(vista this time) and i did this process and it worked but now i am stuck at how to get the cwm recovery on it con anyone give me a link to how to do this so i can put a rom on it? i am trying to get cyanogenmod on my phoenix and so for things are not going my way. plz help me

Is there a difference between the recovery mode your talking about and Emergency mode?

Ok once you decompress kdz updater there are three seperate files to work with. 1. windows enabler. 2. msxml.msi 3.KDZ_FW_UPD.exe

What is the windows enabler look like???

OK Got it if you disable both you can't find the phone.
So you just disable the virtual one.

OK now all i had to do was try to get the restore mode which i did and now Im raedy to try to load gingerbreak to fix the display...Am I correct???

no. gingerbreak only give you root on the phone. now that you got it to boot, run gingerbreak, once you have root you need to get ClockWork recovery Mod (CWM). the app is Rom Manager. move to CWM how to thread.

I've followed every step to the T and I still can't this thing out of Emergency Mode. I also keep getting errors with Kbz. With the V10E its the Upgrade Error, WParamv:100 LParam:4008. Frustrated!

You need to install LG drivers and do it right. Then disable modem driver. After that kdz will make it for you.

I have no problem with installing your supplied rom and gingerbreak , rom, etc but i do have a problem with rebooting the phone especially into recovery mode. I cant seem to get it into recovery to flash anything....So is it possible to get a rom into the samr format as the sample one.? So we could use KDZ??
