Ok, so I am a complete novice to android and Samsung phones.

However, I am wanting to add the Email button (not Gmail) to the main home screen, where the time is etc.

But it won't let me. When I press the + icon, it shows the apps to attach but the Email icon is not displayed.

Help!!!

The way to add an app to the home screen on Android is to open up the app drawer (bottom right icon), find the icon of your app and then hold down on it. That will then overlay the app icon over the home screen, and you can release your finger to place the icon there (drag and drop). Certain apps are located within the folders at the beginning of the app drawer (Google, Microsoft, Samsung), and for those, you just tap on the folder, find the app icons inside, and do the same drag and drop. It is also easier for me to find apps within my app drawer if I keep them alphabetized by tapping the "A-Z" button in the top right within the app drawer.

That didn't work.

I should also add that I have the setup in Easy Mode. I think that may cause a big difference in what I can and can't do.

When I switch to Easy Mode, the Email icon is already there on the second home screen (swipe left to get to the second screen) - that's why the icon doesn't show up for me when I hit the +.

You hit EDIT on the top, press "-" on the app icon you want to remove from the 1st home screen, do the same for the Email icon on the 2nd home screen. Now Email will appear within the app list you can add to the empty space left on the 1st home screen.
