How to know what's in "other"

Hello all,

I've got a (non-rooted) HTC One X phone, and if I go under Settings, Memory, my "application memory" is almost full (6.58Go/6.76Go).

The problem is applications are only 1.45Go, almost all (5.13Go) is under the category "Other". How can I know what is taking place, and how can I free it?

Here's a screenshot (my phone is in French, sorry):

Thanks a lot,
St?phane.

Can you tap on other to see what those files may be? I'm guessing that's the size of your internal sd card. Use a file manager to open the internal sd card and see what the size of the directory is. I bet it's full, especially if you have taken a lot of photos, installed music or have download large files.

Thank you for your answer. Nope, can't tap on "other"...

Internal SD card, what do you mean? (I've got an external SD card, but can't seem to find an internal one)

I tried with a file manager, and tried to explore "/" (without /mnt, /d and /storage, that is my sd card). Maybe it's because I'm not rooted, but I can't find the source for these 5.14Go anywhere...
