I flashed the nitrocomb theme just a few min ago n oddly enough the only thing that changed was it added the miui music app thats it I flashed it over nitrodark so that seems 2 be the theme thats running plus the miui app
Edit: figured out its because link that is on here is just for the apps the actually theme is on nitroglycerines xda
I was wondering if anyone noticed that the nitrodark google voice app. When you start a new text message and type in the "to field" the letters do not show up. You can highlight the letters and see them but they don't show up right without highlighting. I am on sc 2.8 w/ nitrodark 2.3.

Definitely has something to do with the blacked out google voice app. Went back to the non blacked out and can see the characters fine. This happens in the to field when a message is composed. Can't see the characters being typed. The message field is fine. Not that big of deal. Just have to type slowly and make sure you hit the right numbers (since they don't show up on the screen). Definitely worth it for the awesomness of the blacked out app.

So this is probably a very NOOB question to ask.. but if I want to install 2.8... do I need to remove the other SC version I'm using now? If so... how would I do that... *insert noob jokes here*
Are you still using v1.1? - There are updates that may have addressed this issue. Current version 2.3...
No need to remove - when you flash the new ROM it will flash over the old one. all you need to remember is to clear your Dalvik cache and your cache partition. that should take care of any problems.. Unless you are flashing something like a nonvoodoo kernel over voodoo - bad things happen.
Or - you have a very old version of superclean like .4 that will need to have some other things changed..
No n00b jokes will be applied.
Thanks for the info I am currently running SC 2.4..
Hey JaeKar,
Possible good news regarding our problem of getting the fc loop at boot animation when trying to restore a nandroid backup. I was going to send you a PM about this but decided it would be better to post and share this info with everyone. Full credit goes to member Suicide Shift who is really catching on fast and may soon be replacing us, or at the very least adding a new member to the clique (the more the merrier, I hope everyone here gets to know each other well enough to make this forum one big clique.) He loaded everything he wanted except the theme, then did a nandroid backup of that. Then when he wants to switch to a different theme, he just restores his nandroid, reboots, boots back to cwm, flashes the theme and reboots. He has said he has not had any fc issues related to that. So all you would need to do is have the different themes you want on your sd card and follow these steps. It's so simple I don't know why we didn't think of it before. I have not had a chance to test it out yet, but it sounds promising. Wanted to share this with you and anyone else who has run into this problem so you can test it out yourselves.

Good deal. Thanks for the line on a fix!
I had an issue getting a Theme back on my phone without FCs at boot up. I think I figured it out. I think items on my SD Card get screwed up and I need to get a new copy.
So today I was at SC 2.8 Voodoo which was a restored nandroid backup after a failed theme.
I did a second nandroid backup in where I go to rename the directory it is in from the date to SC2.8_NoTheme so I know WTF it is!
Then I wiped Davlik cache / Cache and applied SC2.9 Voodoo. Booted to make sure everything was cool and working.
Then I went back to recovery and did another Nandroid backup. (Later I renamed this back directory to SC2.9_NoTheme.)
I had downloaded a fresh copy of the blue steel theme to my SD card. I flashed this theme booted up with no issues.
SC2.9 Voodoo with Bluesteel theme running great![]()
How are you doing your backups? Some posters will want to make sure that they use the same procedure CWM.. Red or Orange?
CWM Red Recovery
I noticed that my text messages were not saved however I am sure I can back those up in Titanium. I just have not bothered to look yet.
I went to test this out and removed my steel blue theme to add orange explosion theme. This however failed after installing orange explosion. This could be an issue with that theme as it has not been updated in a while. I am going to try a different theme.
If all works and I get a new them then go back to Blue Steel successfully I'll provide detailed instructions if you want to put on your first page.

Hey Suicide, TiBu does not back up text messages. Download an app from the market called sms backup.
