Theme problems in general

I think that I have done everything I possibly can. Currently running ec10 sc 2.9.2. I've have tried 3 or 4 themes, and on every one my vibe on keypress does not work on the keyboard. it works for the other buttons, I have wiped cache, d cach numerous times. Any suggestions? I honestly dont think it is the themes themselves. If it is happening with all of the themes, it has to be something that I am doing or not doing.

For me it didn't work on nitro honeycomb so I flashed va green.
When on va green it still had the nitro keyboard, so I reflashed the rom then flashed va green and it works now.

If the haptic feedback is there on the base ROM (when using the keyboard) and not there when you have a theme on board.. it is the theme.

If you are running one of the newer kernels that could also create part of the problem. You could try either EB16 or EB01 and see if that makes a difference.

Sounds like something with the keyboard in your ROM. Which keyboard are you using?

It workd fine as long as I don't use a theme. Righ tnow I'm using android keyboard from ec10 sc 2.9.2 and its fine. I only have the problem using any of the keyboards with the themes......strange isin't it?

OK I will try that. I just found it really odd that all the themes I tried didn't work. LOL

EB01 EB16....is one better than the other? I think I've ran tham both before.

The ROM is extracted from the EB01 leak with bits and pieces of the other ROMS thrown in...

I would suggest that you try EB01 then EB16.. EB16 is less stable.

If that is not the issue then it could be the ROM.

Ok I double checked my phone. Im running eb01/ec10 from the package. SO should I still try to flash eb01?

If you flashed the SC 2.9.2 ROM you got the EC10 kernel packaged with it. You will need to flash the EB01 kernel over that.

If you look in Settings> About Phone - you will see EB01.... The kernel designation cannot be found there.

Edit: Going to work.. Will check back in a couple of hours. Hope things go well.

Ok. Looking for guidance about kernels. I'm running whatever comes with 2.9.2. Could someone tell me what that is exactly. It's ec10, but as far as dummy kernel, over clocked and voltage and is there a difference in the default kernel I'm running and the source code with the video/sound fix? and as of now, which kernels have the video/sound fix to them. anything to do to enable them past use brightness at 100? hear the sound is really worth it. In what regard? Thanks in advance for filling me in or at least giving any guidance that you could.

The only other current non-voodoo that is based off the EC10 source is imnuts versions. They do work. but I would suggest staying away from the -100mv versions - they tend to lock the phone at boot. I have read were the -50s are stable for some phones.

jt1134 only released a voodoo kernel from the EC10 source.

Edit/Update: times_infinity updated both kernels last night... you may have better battery life with this version. I know that my battery life has been substantially improved on this kernel over any of the other nonvoodoo kernels out there.

So have been running with the new times_infinity kernel for the day and have to battery pull twice cause soft keys stopped working and couldnt use power button either to do anything. very weird. We need legit working non voodoo kernels lol

There are some subtle differences between phones that seem to be amplified by the each kernel. I cannot run an imnuts kernel - but ComaVolt seem solid.

Odd... I would agree they gotta get a new batch of tests out there.

Hello.

Before flashing ultimate honeycomb v312, I did a cmw backup with my no theme ROM (superfrankenclean 2.9.2.nv). I want to make a copy and save it in my PC. Where in the sd card can I find this backup?

In the folder labeled clockwork on your SDcard. They're in backup, and labeled by date.

From what I see you would go to files then down to clockworkmod click it there you should see backups
