How to prevent volume reducing when listening to podcasts

In uk and like to listen LBC podcasts via their app. Very annoying as when I receive any notifications it automatically turns volume down on podcast and doesn't resume volume level after notification so I have to manually pause podcast and play again. Muting sound on notifications makes no difference. Cannot find any reference to sort problem and Support have no idea. Thanks for any help

I think this is a function of the player.
For example, both PowerAmp and TuneIn have settings to control what happens during notifications - but neither is able to eliminate the distraction entirely, they offer a hard pause in playback during the notification event and then auto resume.

Email the developer. I use pocketcasts and the column resumes. It isn't because of Android. It is the developer of that app. Write them an email, I've found developers are pretty good about getting back to you.
