How To: Remove Bloatware Bookmarks in your Browser on your Droid X!
or if you want to just edit the defaults.xml file yourself go to the file listed in the folder above and open it in a text editor,
find int name=”preloaded_bookmark” value=”2″/ and change the value to 0
When finished, it should look like:
int name=”preloaded_bookmark” value=”0″/

- Download the attached file below and extract the defaults.xml file
- Open up Root Explorer and copy or move the file
- Go to system--->etc--->motorola--->com.android.browser and hit the R/W button up top
- Paste the modified defaults.xml file here, overwrite the current defaults.xml in there
- Reboot the phone
- BAM! You can now delete the Verizon Bookmark
