Hello Everyone!

I recently purchased a Chromecast, and I have my TV listed when I try to cast. Can anyone please tell me how I can remove my TV from my "Play On" (Netflix App) or "YouTube TV" list of options to cast to?

Please see the attached image. You'll see my Samsung UN55ES6150 HDTV listed, and I have no clue how to remove it from the list.

Thanks!

I'm guessing this means your TV is connected to your Wi-Fi network and likely has a You Tube App. I havent tested but I suspect IF I had my PS3 on it would appear in the list.

thus the only way I see to remove your TV from the list is to remove the tv from the network or remove the app from the tv

Thanks Devlyn16!

I was actually thinking of doing exactly that! My TV is a great TV, but the integrated software and its performance is awful, which is why I got the Chromecast. I've noticed that trying to cast a Netflix video merely launches the TV's Netflix App (no playback or playback control). Trying to cast a YouTube video to the TV causes on error on my phone. I guess just disconnecting my TV from my Wifi is my best option . . .

Did you ever resolve this? I have a Samsung TV as well but you cannot remove the youtube app. My issue is I have a phantom "cast to" device which you cannot cast to. how do I remove it?
