How to root ICS

im trying to see now if the google now feature they have for jellybean only will be able to run on the viper..hopefully it does

but i would need cwm no? or could i flash that from the stock recovery? ive seen they have a apk version and zip flashable version....but i need my phone to be deodexed as one of the requirements and cwm..everything else looks good..

joearaujo5488 I found the original XDA thread you have to run cmd as an administrator and thats an old version I made a new post with a video link and stuff

Sorry, I got yelled at by my Dad and when that happened it made me so mad the camera wouldn't work and I had the Face login on and it didn't put up anything and just automatically crashed.

So I just tried this method and I was not able to click restore. It was asking me for the phones encryption password, and since my device is not encrypted, I have no clue what it is asking me for, so I had to bail on it.

You can't be everything to everyone man....no worries....not really in a big hurry to root anyways...the bloat isn't as bothersome in ICS as it was in GB to me. Diggin' the stock right now....Perhaps as I get older I just become more of a simple man, or I just am happy to get the update so I'll deal with stock right now....not that I'm a custom rom guy or anything...just don't like having to see the NBA and NASCAR apps....I don't watch either sports so why do I have to have apps for them!? lol.
