AC Question

I have an LG RISIO and need to root without using a computer. I've read that its possible with King Root but there may be problems if you try to replace Kinguser with Superuser after root. Can anyone tell me if KingRoot will work for certain and if replaxing Kinguser with Superuser can be done problem free. A quick tutorial would be appreciated. Thanx.

I also have an LG RISIO and need to root it but ive never rooted a phone and also have a computer to use if that makes it easier....

So apparently everyone who roots lg risio end up "bricking" their phone but i only seen it happen with cricket. Which i have and im pretty sure its with all phones because i tried with my old phone: Samsung s Grand Prime which bricked.

King Root Worked for me and my Risio on Cricket. but, now that there's an upgrade(Really hope its Marshmallow) it detects that I've rooted me phone even after unroot and factory reset.

Once the phone has been rooted, changes could have been made to it that will hard-brick it if it's updated, so the update checks for root first. And "unrooting" the phone still leaves signs of having been rooted. You'll have to back the phone up, reflash the stock ROM, update it and restore the backup.

Do you guys know if its working with the latest kingroot v4.95? Im looking to root my Risio, im using 6.0.1 right now.

I am also looking at options to root Cricket LG Risio, Android v6.0 (MRA58K).

I haven't heard of success yet with KingRoot in Marshmallow. I'm running linux (arch)... has anyone out there played with the Risio from command line? any root with platform tools or SDK? Really grateful for any feedback, thanks.

King Root looked VERY promising a few days ago. It got upto the part of bloat removal.. made a quick U-turn.. BACKED away slowly.. Like a Cricket Wireless CS Rep had a damn weapon pointed at it with the shhhhh finger up to their lips!! Seems that company HAS the smartest programmer's/hackers for employees!! *sighs hopefully someone will come along and outsmart them.. Until then folks, we're STUCK & FK'D.
