How to Root the Xoom from Stock 3.1 (Both versions)

I was wondering how I was going to root my Xoom again since I went totally back to stock (from Tiamat 1.4.1), and was unrooted/locked again. Then I found this valuable info. I can verify that it does in fact work on WiFi Xoom w/ OTA stock 3.1.

My Xoom is now rooted again and has Clockwork Mod Recovery. Works great! Woohoo!!!

I updated to 3.1 but I was previously rooted and im not sure if the kernal i have is a stock kernal or one that I got from rooting in the past. Im haveing alot of Force close errors on my xoom now and would like to be sure I am back to stock kernal and then root my 3.1 xoom. Do you know what the stock kernal for 3.1 is and how to change it if its not. Im good at following CLEAR directions but im not up-to-date on all the lingo to follow some of these guides. So im struggling right now because I dont want try a method that isnt exactly the right one for my XOOM due to all of the variables right now with 3.1 and kernals and previous roots and all. So all that to say, what is the stock 3.1 kernal and how do I "FLASH" anything to change it? Ive rooted in the past but that was only one day to do it and I havent meesed with this stuff since so I gotta relearn it all.
