It's pretty rare that I use google play. I went there today to try and download an app but the geniuses decided it would be a good time to force people to use more 'secure' logins (biometrics, etc.).

It's tied to a made-up email (a google-generated one, which I don't even have a password to) from a really old (like 2015) google play gift card. There seems to be no apparent way to switch accounts or sign up for a new one.

I'm doing it from the google play app in the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra.

How do I get rid of the useless screen and sign up for a new account?

*Edit, the useless screen finally went away and I was able to create a new account. However, it's still stuck on the old, useless account. How do I switch it?

I'm not sure what I downloaded on the play store and what I downloaded on the Galaxy store. I don't have many downloaded app,but playerpro is an integral one to my daily life. I don't want it to go away.

Good ol' google. Google: "Let's make it as hard as possible!"

Update: It dawned on me that I'm still logged onto the old account. I was able to update the needed app. However, this will eventually be a problem when this account eventually stops working. I can't do anything with it.
