Re: How to turn off "battery full" notification on an LG G3? It beeps and vibrates every minute

I don't have a non-root solution I'm afraid, but if you are willing to... Root, Xposed and G3 Tweaksbox does the trick. I disabled the Power and Silent mode annoyances.

Re: How to turn off "battery full" notification on an LG G3? It beeps and vibrates every minute

Here is a solution: Our cat wakes us up in the night and we move it into the garage at night. The G3 is the same pain in the neck and I moved it into the garage at night as well.

I am ready to throw the f 'en G3 in the trash. It keeps beeping at me all the time day and night despite quiet settings. Soon to put up a youtube video to warn people of this crappy phone.

G3 people designers should know better than to wake us up at night. Who needs to be notified? The only sound a phone should make is when it rings when someone calls. For the rest it should not make a peep, I check email on MY terms when I want, same with texts. I find all those notifications an invasion of my concentration and quiet time.

Quiet should be quiet.

Wait so you turned it to OFF or ON to get rid of the sound?

Re: How to turn off "battery full" notification on an LG G3? It beeps and vibrates every minute

I found the solution, for me anyway, I replaced my Verizon LG G3 with a Verizon iPhone 6 Plus, which will be here on the 19th. This was not spur of the moment decision, but rather a long time gradual build up to where this Battery Full Notification pushed me over the edge.
Whoever it was at Google that designed this annoying little thing, is surely not motivated by doing what is in the best interest of the end consumer. An innocuous little add on that saves on electricity, which by some estimates amounts to a whopping $0.58 a year, but interrupts your sleep is not a welcome addition. And, turning off your phone to the degree where you can't receive a call from a family member, is definitely not a suggestion I could ever feel completely comfortable with.
My backup phone a Samsung GS4 (on Straight Talk) did the same thing and was replaced with a iPhone 5S last week. I could not be happier …. FINALLY a good night's sleep !!!!

Re: How to turn off "battery full" notification on an LG G3? It beeps and vibrates every minute

Everyone - I have owned the G3 for several weeks now and never had a "battery full" notification, until last Friday. I charge my bluetooth headset and phone at the same table. Each has its own power supply charger. At about 3am, I was awakened by my G3 because it was giving me multiple "battery full - unplug - save energy" warning - FIRST TIME EVER. What I discovered was that I had accidentally reversed the charging devices for both. So, my phone was being charged by my bluetooth supply and the bluetooth was being charged by my G3 power supply. The bluetooth charger is a .15A and the G3 is a 1.8A charger. When I reversed the cables to their respective (correct) charger, the warnings stopped. When I reversed them again (wrong), the warnings continued.

The next day, I tried a couple of other charging units (I have a ton of them!) and found that as long as I kept the amperage of the charger above 0.2A, the phone would stay quiet through the night.

My prognosis is that many of the complaints about the G3 are from "user error" and are generated from just using any old MicroUSB charger, instead of the factory charger or one that is rated (comparable) to the factory charger. Not all chargers are equal, even if you can plug them into your phone, it doesn't mean the phone likes them. I hope this helps a least a few people.

Re: How to turn off "battery full" notification on an LG G3? It beeps and vibrates every minute

When I reversed the charger, I noticed the same thing. It needs to be a high-speed charging cable (1.8-2.1 amp), and even might need MicroDraw. However, I still get that chime once, which I noticed before going to sleep one night. If I had heard that when I was sleeping, I would have been upset. There has to be a way to shut that off.

Re: How to turn off "battery full" notification on an LG G3? It beeps and vibrates every minute

I just had a "chat" with an LG Tech Support Specialist. I explained the problem.
They explained that there is simply no setting to disable that function.
I explained that they need to release the ability for us to disable it with the next OTA or they will have to pay for my divorce!

Alright, I have spent quite a bit of time on trying to figure out a non-root solution for this. And I've tried pretty much everything I've seen suggested: Silent mode, quite mode, a variety of methods on the apps Tasker & Trigger, the stock charger, a variety of USB chargers of different, and even tried enabling and disabling a few different settings (Including the QuickCircle setting, which someone suggested).

The only thing that has worked for me thus far is a bit of a compromise, but one I'm willing to take for a good night's sleep (excluding just giving up charghing my phone at night on my side table or giving up the phone).

Change Settings > Sound > Volumes > Notification Sound to OFF or low
AND
Change Settings > Sound > Vibrate Strength > Notification to 0 or low

This will not turn of the notification light or stop the screen from lighting up (I just turn my phone screen side down at night). Quiet Mode does NOT have these options available to change, so that's not an option. And keep in mind, this will affect all Notifications, including texts or e-mails. That doesn't bother me too much, because I glance at my phone screen enough times a day or am not even around my phone to hear it anyways. Another option would be to change these settings right before you go to bed and again when you wake up -- but that's too much of a pain for me to remember.

Personally, I keep my Notification Volume at 0 and my Vibrate Strength to around 30-40%, and rest my phone on a cushiony towel at night. Doesn't wake me up at all, and I'm not exactly a light sleeper.

It would be pretty sweet if Trigger had an LG plugin for this sometime down the road, although I'm not sure if that will still require a root or not.

I have a Verizon LG G3, and this works for me:

To avoid the repeated Battery Fully Charged notification, plug your phone charger into the phone. Then go into Settings>General>Battery (under Phone Management), and select Battery Information. You should see a graph of Battery Usage Level. Turn the phone off using the button on the back. You should get one notification when the battery is fully charged and the notification LED will turn from red to green. Note: if you receive a call, text or voice message, you'll probably have to repeat the steps.

Re: How to turn off "battery full" notification on an LG G3? It beeps and vibrates every minute

I found a solution that works on my LG G3. I installed Tasker and followed these instructions I found on YouTube. Search for "Galaxy S2 Mute Battery Full Notification".
Excellent! Thank you! The only problem I had was how to add 'on power'. I watched the YouTube video you mentioned but if was for an older version of Tasker and the app is different. Think I've managed it though.

Re: How to turn off "battery full" notification on an LG G3? It beeps and vibrates every minute

I found I needed to add 'wait 5 secs' after 100% in the tasker profile before it un-muted otherwise I still got the notification.

Re: How to turn off "battery full" notification on an LG G3? It beeps and vibrates every minute

Found a fairly easy work-around , the Quiet Mode (the Android's version of "do not disturb"). I have mine set to automatically turn on at night and turn off at 6:30 in the morning, so at least there is no beeping or notifications till 6:30 in the morning. Starting at 6:30 I start getting the beeps, but I realized all I need to do is unplug it if I don't want to wake up yet.

I had the same problem. @seeprosee clued me in to the solution. I was using a USB extender cord with the cord and adapter that came with the phone. I simply removed the extender cord and solved the problem -- no more "battery full" notification beeps. Now I need to find the right extender cord. Thank you!!!

I didn't noticed the problem till today! It is a bit annoying, but then I remember that previously (on my Nexus 5) I have used an app called "Silence Premium Do Not Disturb" which completely solved the problem!
Normally I set up sleeping hours from 1AM to 9AM to not ring or blinking the LED. When the silence mode is turned on then I don't receive battery charged notification either!
There is also a free version called "Do Not Disturb" and I guess it will work just fine (with the exception that won't block the LED notifications). But I guess that is ok, to workaround the issue!

Just bought LG G3. It is incredible, every night the same.
Is there anyone who find out how to remove the notification of full battery charge easily, without shutting all telephone functions? I might have emergency calls at night, and need to have the phone on. Otherwise, I will be forced to throw it out of the window very soon

Yes, use the Tasker method in this thread. Your phone is only silent between 99 and 100% charge so you only lose functions for a few minutes. It works flawlessly.

It seems that to get rid of this annoying "Battery full" sound at night, you can turn off volume of "Touch feedback & System".

Volume down key -> Gear icon -> Touch feedback & System

Just tried it, worked for me. And (at the first glance at least) you won't miss anything important like night call (if on duty) or SMS sound during day time.

I had the same problem, repeated noisy notifications that my battery was full. I used several chargers, and the problem persisted, even with a 2.0A charger. I finally found an acceptable solution at Settings->Sound->Volume "Touch & feedback system ". When I set that volume slider to 0, the notifications still came, but they were silent. This setting also had the pleasant (for me) side effect of silencing the noises my phone used to make when shutting down and booting. This seems like a pretty good solution to the problem, unless you like system sounds, or like audible feedback when typing (which this setting also controls).

Of course, the best solution would be an option to turn off these notifications, or at the very least, to find a way to only issue the notification only once each time the phone is plugged into a charger. But the people in a position to do something about this seem to be intentionally impossible to contact.
