You can activate phone with s-on or s-off. as long as phones ID number is good. They cant see the phone. Call in and switch over the phone. leave it rooted and flash stock rom..

I want to say "THANK YOU" for helping people like me that doesn't know much about unrooting. My replacent phone is coming any minute now. You save me! Thanks again!!!!

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere.. I've been searching forums for a while now with no luck. Long story, but basically i have a rooted phone. I ran different roms for a while, but just now installed the rom linked in this post.

I tried to unroot, but couldn't because my computer won't recognize my phone anymore. I thought maybe installing this rom would fix it. (I want this rom anyway because I'm giving phone to sis in law and we will need to reactivate it)

Anyway.. did I delete something important off my phone that I need to reinstall? I would really like to be able to connect phone to computer again. Anyway any help or links would be appreciated.

I would appreciate any help that can be provided here. I have a rooted Evo 4G (done via the complex way, not the 1 or 2 step way) have been running the same custom ROM for almost 2 years, but am now getting ready to upgrade to an Evo 4G LTE.

I tried to follow the instructions in this post (10 times now), but every time it gets to the black screen with HTC on it, I get the "usb connection" error message. I did download HTC Sense, but it currently does not recognize my Evo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe I'm missing something too, but I cannot seem to get this to work either. Is there a file I'm missing? somewhere the newest ROM is located now? Help?

I am way over 50 times with error [155}: unknown error

Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again.

ARG - So, Once rooted one cannot un-root it seems wonderful. Therefore no bluetooth or OTA updates - Hey thanks everyone!
