Sorry. Must have missed that one. Why on earth would you wanna go back to blue. What's going on?

just in case we need to for froyo or whatever. I also found out that flashing red cwm was quite an unnecessary step (but I think someone else already said so earlier in this thread) since it's included in the new voodoo kernels

well, yes it is an unnecessarry step, sometimes. if you recall i started from an unrooted stock phone. flashing red allowed me to skip a bunch of steps in rooting. i called this the "gunnermike53 lazy root" method. i geuss i should revise it to include an already rooted phone.

I have been running JT 1/23 voodoo and have also tried some of the adrynalyne kernels as well as imnuts kernels. I honestly don't see a big benefit of running voodoo. I am not having any problems with it but really not a big improvement in real world use. I know this has been stated by some in the past but I wanted to throw my .02 in. I will probably keep it until 2.2 comes out but adrynalyne's test 2 non-voodoo kernel was real good for my phone.

What are you using where you see better results. Is it good for gaming?

right now im running imnuts 25_uv. i have had great results with adrys test 6. jt's 0123 was great. i have tried most, those are the three that i had noticeable results. mostly in that my phone does not bog down after a day of use. its just as snappy 12 hrs after a restart as it is right after the restart. i do notice some differance in lag as well. but only on these three kernels. i wouldnt notice unless i was looking for it. but its there. there is no wait for anyhting at all. i press an app i opens, right then, no lag, no delay. on the nonvoodoo kernels, the phone is snappy, but there is a delay, like a more of a slight hesitation, nothing to get my pannies in a wad over, its only noticeable when compared to the voodoo kernel.

all that being said, everyone will have different experiances. from what i understand, where voodoo really shines is rss feeds. i dont use them so i have no idea about that.

'imnuts' updated kernels 1/30. Currently running the -100 mv voodoo5 version.. so far so good.

Voodoo Sound v4 update
Changed UV levels

He seems to have pulled the -25 mv versions...

Happy flashing.

I gotcha. Something that should probably also be taken out of the unrooting method is re-flashing red cwm after you disable the voodoo fix. disabling voodoo does not break red cwm and you can flash another non-voodoo kernel and it will bring you back to blue recovery.

most of the time that is the case. i started with a stock unrooted phone. i only flashed red. so if you disable the lag fix and flash a nonvoodoo kernel, you will still have red. you will not have blue or gree. if you flash red overtop of green your statement will be correct. its confusing, just noodle that for a minute and it will come to you. it will only hurt for a little bit. lol

ahhh I follow you now. since you flashed red cwm instead of the usual root method, right?

I had green cwm and all that on there from my initial root, so that explains it.

yup. i like red way better, i would use it even on non voodoo kernels. thats just me.

and right again. i was lazy, so instead of rooting i dropped a rooted rom (superdark) on my sd. flashed red. booted into red and flashed my rooted rom. yes you loose all your data, but it skips a bunch of steps. also getting skipped is green.

DJ05 rooted with z4root, can i still voodoo?

so ive pretty much mastered flashing back to stock DJ05 and rooting with z4root, now i wanna try voodoo. can i still root using z4root and flashing cw red, and voodoo kearnel? if not where can i find a how to for Gunnermike53 lazy root? thnx guys!

lol. just follow the steps in the first post. i included how i flashed the rooted rom. if you have all your apps backed up with titanium backup its deffinately the way to go.

Hey Mike - maybe you could put links to all the files you mentioned in the updated first post. There are so many different versions of clockwork and stock files that it gets confusing some times. It would ensure people have the correct files. Great write up!

Could you tell me the advantage of voodoo (assuming I grow a pair) and decide to flash the super_clean_2_1_v.zip? I'd really just like a new undervolted kernel to help out with the battery leeching that the Debloated, deodexed EB01 is doing to me, but I don't know if you gain this or not through it. Thanks in advance.

I will try and get some links up in a bit, infact if some one would help me out with that, it would be great. gotta get back to work.

im not sure if the kernel is undervolted or not. adry ususlly does so it wouldnt suprise me.
