How to Voodoo ***Updated 27 Mar 2011***KERNEL BUILT FROM SOURCE/SOUND/UNDERVOLTED

Current Superclean ROMs come with voodoo kernel co-packaged. - Will update as new kernels become available.

So if I have 2.9.2, all I have to do to voodoo is go into recovery, wipe cache partition, d cache, enable lag fix and then reboot and I'll have voodoo? Is that correct?

If you have a voodoo kernel on board the answer is yes. You can skip all of the cache wipes and everything. It just rearranges all of the information storage, doesn't mess with any files or anything so the cache and dalvik and what not are all the same, just laid out differently.

did you flash the voodoo or non-voodoo version of 2.9.2?

I flashed the non voodoo, thought Joekar meant the voodoo kernel comes with that package as well, just thought I had to activate it... So that's a no??? I have to go download the voodoo kernel?

the voodoo kernel only comes in the voodoo package, so yes, you will have to download the voodoo kernel from here:

put it on your SD card and then go back to the first post of this thread and start at step number 3. Gunnermike53 has put together a wonderful thread, you should have no problem following his steps.

Good luck!

Ummmm......if you're talking about this voodoo thread in which you are posting, it is Gunnermike53's thread. Jaekar does equally spectacular work putting together and maintaining the Themes and Boot Animations thread here:

That's what happens when like me you try to help as many people as you can and you are just bouncing from thread to thread. Can't count how many times I've forgotten which thread I was in.

thats exactly what i did... was helping someone out in JeaKar's boot animation post (because he just helped me with it himself, so it was fresh in my mind).

You may want to hold off on flashing the new kernel until a home key mapping issue is resolved.. See XDA for details...

Let me know if this kernel is using PowerOn.wav. If so I will add on more waves to to the Sounds post.

If you can get by with: Back = Back and Home = Back.. It will be fine. Suffered through much worse options..

The joy of early release and learning the tricks of the trade.

Yea, I just wanna try it out and play with it for a bit. Test out some different features. I can always update when the issues gets resolved. I can get by without a home button option :)
