You can see and touch screen on certain areas but screen is cracked

The screen is cracked? Or the glass is cracked? If the glass is cracked you need a new glass/digitizer. If the screen is cracked you need a new screen. If you can't tell the difference you'll have to trust the repair shop to be honest.
