How's the battery?

Some folk are on their second day of having the phone. How's the battery holding up?

Yes, received on 3-2; S20+ Unlocked on TMo and I will say that I went from the S10 to the S20+ so big jump in battery size but so far it has been more than adequate, no problems or fast drain...still need to try the 120 refresh all day and will report back as I have had it on 60 for 2 days

I've been using FHD with 120 Hz. Battery life is indistinguishable from the Note 10+. So far so good. I'm curious as to how it'll be when Samsung enables QHD with 120 Hz.

I'm at 5 hours and 40 minutes SoT and I'm at 40%. Around 5 hours of standby as well. That's with charging to full out of the box and using smart switch and doing all of my setup plus the security update. Little bit of gaming and some bluetooth setting up my galaxy watch and buds. Location services on. Already blowing my Note 9 out of the water. After the Android 10 update, I was maxing out around 4 hours SoT at 20% battery.

I don't bother with screen on time because it doesn't tell the whole story. So far I have no complaints about battery life.

Now that my battery has settled in im at 4.5 hrs sot with 68% battery. My pixel would almost be dead at this point so im very happy.

Yeah I'm at about 3 hours SOT and 60% battery which is about 30% better than I'd be on my small pixel 4. So I'm happy w the small S20 for sure.

First day I haven't charged in-between just to check out battery.

With 120 hz, 4 hr 11 minutes and 62% still left. Though completely on home WiFi.

I'm at 20% charging now. Finished at 32 hours off charge with 6 hours SoT. Heavy web browsing and social media use, medium gaming and bluetooth streaming music through my galaxy buds and spotify, little bit of bluetooth with galaxy watch, location services on, all LTE no WiFi.

One thing for sure the Ultra is an easy all day phone even with 120 Hz on. That 5000 mAh battery really shows.

Agreed. I'm pleasantly surprised coming from my S10. There I had to keep my phone on low brightness too. Having adaptive on and being able to see in sunlight is marvelous

This is pretty close to about what I'm getting.

I'm honestly not impressed. It gets me through the day, but I'm usually putting it on the charger at around 15%. My Note 10+ was always around 40% with similar SOT. I'm gonna contribute that to the 120hz. I was just hoping the extra battery would make them more equal.

On another note this news app is using the accelerometer and gyroscope for some reason. I doubt that's helping the situation.

I thought it was bad to let it get to 15%?

I'm not overly concerned. I will be getting the note 20. I was hoping for the ultra to be a keeper, but so far it hasn't wowed me. Not saying I don't enjoy the phone, but it hasn't convinced me not to upgrade in 6 months.

Honestly I should just throw the thing on my wireless charger in the truck and stop worrying about battery life, but I needed to put it to the test.

I think that batter life is pretty good. It's at least better than what I imagined it would be after hearing 120hz took off 3 hrs or so. This is mine today and like yesterdays post i've kept it on 120hz.
