Got up unplugged phone from charger 100% wifi on within 30 minutes lost 5%. It is sad we have to turn off WiFi to save battery and use more data.

Not exactly thrilled with the battery life either. Overnight I kept my Edge+ and iPhone 5S off their chargers, sitting right next to each other, no apps running. Awoke this morning to find the Edge+ at 86 percent and the 5S at 100 percent. The ONLY difference between the two is that the Edge+ currently has the SIM card in it. So something tells me the cell signal - which is full-bar strong in our house since we use a Microcell - is the culprit.
Putting in power saving mode overnight made me lose like 5% in 8 hours. I'll have to try just turning off wifi, see how that affects it
Yeah I disabled Google now to see the affect, and sadly it was substantial. I'll turn it back on because most of the time I have wireless charges nearby, but the fact I can't change something to use less battery on in makes me sad
Why would you keep them off their chargers?

Go to your Location settings and check Location history, I'd turn that off, problem is that Google incorporated Location reporting (one of the biggest battery drainer on a Android) into Location history, so now, buy turning that on. It turns location reporting on, and the only thing to prevent the drain from the constant device pinging is by turning that off.
Won't disabling location history prevent you from locating the phone if it is lost or stolen?
No, just when you turn off Location completely. Location History is not needed for the Location Services to work, this is just a Google Service to enable other features. Take a look at this information. Google’s Location History is Still Recording Your Every Move.
On this one will show you how it was until mid April when we had 2 separate options, Location reporting and Location History, before I had location history on but Reporting off as it was besides the Screen, the number 1 battery drainer on Android, and I frankly didn't want to be "reporting" Google all my moves, but now that they incorporated both into just one setting, then I just prefer to turn it off. Detection of battery levels is not perfect. Seems perfectly normal to me.Hmmm, turned the Edge+ off completely overnight with battery at 100 percent. Woke up, turned it on and battery was at 97 percent. Something's not right. Just wondering if the Quick Charge has anything to do with it? I've only used Quick Charge chargers (Samsung's included charger, Samsung Fast Charge wireless chargers) with the Edge+. Does the Quick Charge not really deliver a typical full charge to the battery? Just spitballing. But no battery should lose three percent with the device powered off for seven hours.

I'm saying that in all probability you did not lose any charge but the battery is miss reporting its level after being turned off for a period of time. If you want to know for sure you would need to leave the phone off three or four times that amount of time and see if you lose three or four times the same amount of battery level. Then you will know that the battery is actually draining.Seems normal to lose three percent of battery capacity with the device off? Really? My iPhone doesn't do it. My G4 doesn't do it. Neither do my laptops. I have to politely disagree. Off is off, no battery drain should occur.
