howto force play service update on watch

I'm desperate! For 4 days now I'm trying to update the play services on my urbane 2. It's still at 8.7, and I need the latest 9.2 in order to use ghostracer and tinycam. Strange thing is, when I first got the watch I could update it without a problem. A few minutes after a clicked on the play service version number in settings it started updating. However I did some factory resets afterwards because I had some cloud sync trouble. But now it won't update anymore, I tried again some factory resets, cleared data of both phone playe service and Wear app but it won't work. Does anybody know any way to force this update? Or even sideload the wear apk of play services? I found it on apk mirror...

Thanks for the tip. Im on vacation now in France hence the late answer. However it seems the article you linked is about getting ota updates of the whole OS. I'm just looking for the play service update, which is still stuck on 8.7 right now. The only thing remaining is factory reset of my phone, which is a pain because of all installed apps and the very slow wifi here...

Finally managed it by doing a factory reset of my phone... it took a while to get all my app back and setup, but finally the watch updated itself to the latest play services, after only 1 tap on its version number. Pfieuw!
