HTC 10 Users, are you happy?

Love mine. M8 was my favorite phone prior and the 10 pretty much does everything better than that. Ive used S7E a few times now via friends and it just didnt do it for me. The 10 is pretty much the perfect phone for what I use a phone for. I dont really think Id change anything about it other than I kinda wish I could have gotten a red one at launch, but not a big deal really.

Love my phone. Shifted from s7 edge don't miss that phone at all. Only thing that phone had over HTC 10 was rear camera. I mostly use selfie cam that is much better on 10. Love the ease of use

Here is how much I liked the HTC 10. I have a Galaxy S7 Edge, had an Iphone 6S. Sold the 6S. I use my Galaxy S7 Edge in my bedroom at night since I don't have a home phone, and my HTC 10 is my daily driver. I put a Dbrand black carbon skin on it. It feels fantastic. I love tapping it to wake it up. Never use the power button. This is some phone and I've had a lot of phones!!!

I love the phone. My only gripe is the battery life. It's not apple bad, but it does seem to lose a little too much for my taste.

I only browse the web (Dolphin) and listen to music through bluetooth.

For Example... This morning, off the charger 100%. I check my email and facebook for about 10 minutes and when done, I checked and was already at 97%. 10 minutes of what I consider light use should not use 3% of the battery.

I am finding just the opposite. I stream music for 10 hours at work using bluetooth speakers, use android wear for taking calls and texts and I have 65% when I get home from work. I never had a phone that could do that. My coworker has to charge his S7 half way through the day. And I have yet to take a grainy or blurry photo, unlike the M9 which was always blurry. I point and shoot all the time and am very pleased with what I get. I feel the images are just as nice as my wife's 6S. Grab shots in restaurants look identical, unlike my my M9 which I gave up using because the camera was so bad.

Do you use WiFi bro? Reason I ask is because WiFi seems to cause that big battery drain

WiFi, Bluetooth GPS (high accuracy mode) are never turned off. NFC is on most of the time, but when I use my Bose QC3 headphones I hear some interference and turn it off then. In the last 7 hours over night the battery dropped 2% It was at 48% when I fully charged it before I went to bed.

I'm not happy! Whatever case I try causes an echo for whoever I'm talking too!
HTC's customer service could only suggest that I try lots of cases until I find one that works or not use a case.
I think my phone's going to ebay and to be replaced by a samsung. (By the way this is my fifth and last HTC)

Love mine. Probably the best phone I've ever had. I only wish they had put the HTC logo on the front, since I have a case on it to use my car dock. I've gotten a lot of people saying it's an iPhone.

Sound could be louder on the external speakers, but otherwise awesome phone. Takes great pictures and using Zoe to make videos of my vacations is awesome.

Lol, what? What cases have u used?

I'm relatively pleased with my 10. No real issues with the hardware, however, I do miss the ease of use and features available on WP8.1. Camera is a touch better than my prior phone: Lumia Icon/930. The audio chops are excellent assuming you take the time to set it up. I have 9 profiles created; one for each pair of headphones. Battery life isn't WP good, but I regularly get 2-3 days between charges (NOTE: The phone is awake for 9-12 hours a day, but only 3-4 hours of Screen On Time total). The screen is lovely and the speakers work great for most things. Call quality is on par with other devices I have owned, so no complaints there. Software Security updates have been slow, due in-part to VZW, and that is my only real gripe.

I primarily use this device as a communications device (former BB user), so I don't game or watch movies/videos and I rarely use it to surf the web. No social media either (which always accounts for much longer battery life). Granted, my use-case is definitely an outlier, but not unheard of.

TL;DR: It was worth the $450 I paid for it, and I would buy it again at that price.

My battery appears to drop quickly at first then tapers off and the rate of dropage slows way down. At the end of the day I'm still with ample power. Usually average 4hr SOT and 30% left by 11pm. I use no power hungry apps tho. Like FB

I'm on home wifi all day long, great battery. Is your power settings indicating wifi is a big draw? Wifi is usually my lowest. Maybe your wifi settings? I dunno. Mine is set to 2.4 GHz. Seem to get better signal with that, may help power consumption as well, although no idea if true.

Love the phone. Really snappy and fast. Get really good battery life for my needs (maybe 2-3 hours of daily screen time responding to messages and checking twitter). Security updates every other month don't bother me too much (have unlocked). Still beats my old carrier phone by a mile.
If the phone always stays this fast, the only reason I see myself upgrading down the line is when either updates for it are done, or if the new 600mhz spectrum is deployed and the new phone radios for it are out.

I wish they'd actually use the 700 mhz band they took from us musicians already. It cost thousands to replace wireless mic and in ear systems. Now they get our stuff, we had legally running in the 600 mhz for years and years. Phone are cheap compared to this gear...

gimmeh mah spectrum!!

I've just sold my 10 and got a Moto Z now it's out in the UK. I just never could quite get on with the 10, it just never seemed to feel like a flagship to me especially considering what it cost.

A couple of factors were:

Screen - dim (awful in sunlight) and washed out to me. Also the polarisation issue was a pain.

Body - always felt bulky and chunky to me. It's a taste thing I guess. Also seemed to scratch and ding far too easily.

Anyway, liking the Z initially. The screen is great and I like the svelte design.

For those of you who love your 10, all the best.

Not nearly as happy as I was with my m8. Battery life is mediocre, Wi-Fi range is horrible, and the screen isn't nearly as crisp. Truly wish I had waited for the nexus.
